On vacation in the mountains this weekend. Stopped in at the Walmart in Franklin, NC to pick of some stuff. Made my usual run to the sporting goods dept. to pick up a couple of bricks of Federal 550's if that had any.
Not only did they have the 550's they had powder/primers/shot/wads/bullets(sierra's) in alot of calibers/rock chuker presses/tumblers/media and a good selection of BP stuff too. I was in awe! Never saw a reloading dept. in a Wally World before. Kudu's to them.

I think you probably meant "kudos", Mike, the Greek word for Praise. A "kudu" is an African antelope. just sayin'................

The Walmart 5 minutes from my house has always carried reloading supplies. I was shocked when they started carrying AR15's. Now they carry Sig, Colt, Bushmaster, etc.

A kudu horn has great significance in some cultures, maybe that's what he meant. "I'm overjoyed with what you have done, have an antelope horn!"

wish walmarts around here carried components. Im nearly out of Winchester 231 but cant afford to make a bulk purchase right now to even out the hazmat. If I had known it and a 200gr SWC made such an awesome light target round in my .45 I would have ordered 8lbs instead of 2.

I'm gonna have to have a chat with the local Wal Mart purchasing department around my parts. They only carry muzzleloading stuff seasonally, much less any sort of reloading components!

We have two WalMarts that we frequent; one 22 miles away and one 46. The further one has always carried a full complement of reloading stuff including presses - primarily RCBS. When I was in the closer one a week or so ago, one of the guys in the department told me that it was rumored that they would soon be getting into reloading stuff as well.

Mmmmmm.......Kudu is tasty!

I thought he meant, "OUTSTANDING - Here, have some antelopes. When you're done eating the beasties you'll find that the horn is wonderful too" :D.

I have been in that exact Wal-Mart many times & was kinda suprised that they carried Reloading Supplys,The Wal-Mart in South Charleston Wv. on Route 119 also has reloading supplys

Many Walmarts in California don't even sell ammunition (none of them sell guns), but the one in Susanville has ammo and some reloading supplies. Mostly shotgun wads and powder. I first noticed it about 3 years ago. It was quite a surprise.

We have a Wal-Mart near Hickory, NC ( in Taylorsville, NC) about 15 miles away that has always carried reloading supplies (shotgun and pistol, rifle) powder, primers, bullets, tumblers&media...the works. The only one for miles that I know of though. I think when I asked a associate he said it is entirely up to the manager as to what they carry.

And the Wal-Mart closest to me carries no guns and nothing in the ammo line but shotshells, And this is in San Antonio, of all places, where you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone without at least a half-dozen guns in their house or car.

I was at a Wally world last week in Jim Thorpe Pa. They had primers, powders, presses, bullets, brass.....even rifles and shotguns. Unfortunately thats an hour drive for me. All my local Wally worlds dont stock any of that. Not even ammo

Kudu's(critters) or Kudo's..........ya'll got the picture. Wish my Wally stocked the stuff.......No place in my county to buy reloading supplies. Gun shows and mail order works for me. HOWEVER I hope the rash of shootings doesn't dry up the mail order process.
Funny how the anit gun clowns always go after the guns and NEVER even mention punishing the perpritator(sp?).
