Guidance on warranty issue

Thanks much Scooter for debunking more gun myth with facts. It's always a pleasure to learn from the experienced ones. It baffles me how some can be so blind to reality, but the agendas are clear as day. :)

My reason for being harsh is:

-S&W was synonomous with "you can bet your life on it.."

-I need this revolver to perform (for my wife) should the worst case scenario play out (home invasion which is common in Sacramento area) so my family can stay intact so to say.

-I should have it today and I am taking it directly to Genecco Gun works to make sure I will have a "guatanteed six pulls of the trigger".

-Good thing I have the Kimber on board.

No offense intended, but I got a great laugh out of that Kimber comment. Maybe Kimber has a better repuatation now days, but, back when I was into 1911's, they had quite a reputation for unreliability.

If you want a reliable gun to repel home invaders, get a Glock 17 and use Glock 18 mags.

This whole thread is a big over reaction to a non-existent problem. The MIM parts are just fine, and having a Kimber on board is about like bringing a bouquet of flowers to a gunfight.

Yes Scooter I should have done my "due Diligence" when I received the revolver.

-But I have now and I trust my life to my Gunsmith's work. He is by far a brilliant Gunsmith and MFG of fine rifles/shotguns. He is no "self-proclaimed" Gunsmith, he is one of the finest the USA has. That is due diligence.

-The Kimber is just fine and has never failed when used and it came from the Kimber custom shop too.
