The verdict is in...CSX guilty as charged.
First range day with the new CSX e-series....and what a day it was.
CSX e-series is guilty as charged for being one of the best handguns S&W has produced in the last couple of years....
Trigger is fantastic, feels and shoots awesome.
Shot 5 different kinds of ammo, in 5 different magazines..all performed without a single flaw, gun functions as intended, no failures of any kind with 150 rounds downrange. No FTF's. no failure to extract spent cartridge, no light strikes, slide locks back on empty magazine and slide lock is also a slide release and easy to do.

Ammo used today: 30 rounds each in (3) 12 round mags, (1) 15 round mag, and (1) 17 round mag.

Federal HST 124gr hollow point,
Hornady Custom 124gr XTP hollow point.
Winchester Defense 124gr +p hollow point.
Federal 115gr FMJ
Blazzer 115gr FMJ

Really is one awesome handgun and is now my everyday cc.

Before you judge my shot groups remember I'm 79 years old wear glasses and have high blood pressure so I am quite pleased with how this weapon shot.

well I have had 3 weeks now to totally digest this weapon and 2 range trips and all I can say is WOW. Second range trip was as the first with no failures of any kind and the accuracy of this handgun, due to the short crisp trigger. is somewhat hard for even me to believe but gosh it is right on....

If all hammer fired SA handguns are akin to this new CSX I most probably will never purchase a striker fired handgun again.

So unless you have handled this weapon and felt the trigger and seen the results for yourself you really can't appreciate this offering.

Too late!
I already judged your shot groups...

We need to get that pistol in more capable hands than yours.
I'll send you the ffl address so you can send it over, and I will take care of that for you. Don't thank me; glad to help.

On a serious note, this gun is so much like the Star Firestar.
Am I right?

Thanks for the post!
