Gun ranges in Georgetown, TX area

Looking for a public range in the Georgetown, TX area that has rifle distance shooting. Specifically I'll be shooting M-1 and AR-15.

My daughter used to live in Georgetown, but has moved. I planned to go shooting with her family once, but the closest range she could find was in Liberty Hill.

I also saw some ranges near Sun City. Looks like the "senior citizens" there enjoy better times than golf and tennis!

Note - I am not sure where you'll be in Georgetown, but I've been to Shady Oaks in Cedar Park a few times. Head south on IH-35 to Ranch Road 1431. Go west to Cedar Park. It's a 20-25 minute drive. Nice range. Nice folks, which most Texans are except for some of those folks in Austin ???????

Best of the West is in Liberty Hill but I believe the farthest you can shoot there now is 100 yds. Sub-Division downrange ruined the long range.

I've been here for 15 years and I don't know of any ranges beyond 100 yds that are nearby. Best of the West in Liberty Hill used to have a longer range past 100, but they shut that down a while ago. Lonestar Range and Academy is the one I use at 10000 N. 183 a few miles past Liberty Hill. It has a 25, 50, and 100 yard outdoor rifle ranges. $15 for all day, as many rifles as you want to shoot.
