Last Wednesday I woke up in South Texas to 28 with a 20 mph+ wind I needed a second jacket before leaving to the airport to fly to New Hampshire. Thursday morning I woke up to 2 degrees and only wore one of the jackets I brought. Sunday going to Kittery Trading Post I wore a long sleeve shirt with 36 degrees. By the time we got back it was 40 and I was in shorts and flips flops. Up north it seems every other person has a snow plow so it can snow but by morning streets are clean. It's either cold or colder. Wife and I got back on Monday to 70+ degrees, I thought I was going to sweat to death. Only in the south can you go from 20 to 70+ in a few days, sometimes the same day. Its that hot to cold back to hot that sucks here in South Texas. I was able to spend five days with my grandson which was everything.

My chiropractor is also the Jr HS girls basketball coach. He told me last Saturdays, when it was in the low 40s, everyone of them showed up for practice wearing shorts.

In TX the guys at work were wearing coveralls, hoodies, coats and face masks when it was in the 50s.

I tell you what. You can have your warm winters, because they come with summers that resemble living inside a sauna.

Hardly. I ran the tool room. I handed out mostly small and medium gloves, a few large and very few XL. My brother, a guy from Louisiana and I were the only ones who wore the XXLs. Hardly any of the men were over 6' and 200#.

I had some fun though. Guy comes up and says give me a pipe wrench I would lay a steel 48" pipe wrench on the bench. Just ask for a hammer and you get a 20# beater. Impact wrench would get them a 80# spline drive. Didn't take long for them to learn to call out exactly what they wanted.

I am off to Anacortes Washington Saturday for about 8 weeks. Then I will probably take the rest of the year off.
