A little shameless self promotion, lol. But seriously, that is a nice looking safe. Where are you based out of FAS1?

Because if the fire alarm wakes me up, I'm getting my family out of the house. The gun, cell phone, and flashlight are probably coming with me as well. Chances are it'll be too late for a little fire extinguisher to put out. Fire extinguishers are good for small fires, if you catch them fast enough. You don't try to put out a raging fire with a collection of fire extinguishers.
Finally, I don't smoke, so my bed will not be the first place to catch fire.

And you'll be able to open the door, head down the hall, and get the kids? A fire extinguisher can be used for more than putting the fire out. Controlling it, or allowing you to maneuver/buying yourself extra time to make your escape, allowing your children/family to do the same.
I'm not going to argue about the utility of a fire extinguisher in a gun safe thread. It was merely meant to be a thinking point, keep your fire extinguisher next to your pistol, etc.
I'd ask you to try thinking about it.
