Hi:
I was given a large aerosol can of "Gun Scrubber" firearm cleaner.
I was told by the giver that it is great for cleaning firearms.
Has anyone used or uses this product?
Thank you,
Jimmy

I would only use it on blue steel or stainless. I would NOT use it on an airweightthat has that coating on the alum.

It removes everything including your protective oils. You will half to give the gun a good once over with the rust preventitive of your choice (I use break free clp) after every use of gunscrubber.

Great stuff, but your red plastic insert on the front sight will change to white if you aren't careful. You can probably guess how I know this.

The Gun Scrubber product works very well. The only piece of advise I will offer is that after you use it on a gun, rest assured there is no oil left in or on the gun, so proper lubrication is required after it is all cleaned, or rust will soon form. If you are cleaning out the action of a gun without disassembly, use Remoil or RIG #2 oil to re-lubricate the firearm. These two lubricants and rust preventatives are thin so they will get into all the small spots in the action.

I don't use it anymore. Too much trouble re-lubricating the entire gun afterwards. And I mean entire: the stuff runs everywhere and obliterates all oils it touches. I recommend Break Free CLP once your free can is gone. The stuff cleans and lubes superbly.

Everyone that uses Break free clp needs to give Eezox a try. Great product and known for its protective capabilities.

Gun Scrubber is great for loosening built-up and hardened grease/oil. So good that it isn't legal in California. The questionable new air quality standards took care of that. Be glad you live in a state that still allows you to have choices.
