I went to the Springdale, AR gun show today and I went to my favorite dealers table and he had a couple that I just couldn't leave the show without. The first one I spotted was a Model 17-4 with 6 inch barrel in about 97% condition and shot very little. The gun came with magna grips that I changed to targets after cleaning it when I got home. I was very lucky on this revolver because I looked at and then decide to walk around for awhile. I walked about 20 feet and looked back and another guy was looking at that gun so I went back and stood next to him. He walked away and I told the dealer I would take it and bought the gun. A little while later the guy that looked at the gun right before me approached me and pressed me bad to sell him the gun and he offered me $75 over what I paid for it. I said sorry this baby had already joined my family. The revolver was made in 1981.

I walked around the show for a couple of hours and before leaving stopped by the dealer I bought the first gun from and at the other end of the table I spotted a Model 18 and after looking at it I was torn because it did not have a pinned Barrel. After checking it over I realized this gun was also in 97% condition with just a few light handling marks mostly from storage as it's been shot very little so I decided to buy it. It was made in 1982 and is a really nice revolver and I cleaned and put S&W target grips on it.

The two out the door cost me $1100 and I was OK with that based on today’s prices for these 22's.

Nice set of 22's! They look mint. It would not have bothered me that the 18 was not pinned because I never see 4" 22's around me so I would have jumped on it for sure! Did you see any 4" 29's like you were looking for? I seen one today at a show for $950 in the pres. box, it was nice but not $950 nice it had a couple idiot marks on it. Anyway congrats on some nice guns!

Actually I stopped looking for a 29-2 with 4 inch barrel because I'm in the middle of a trade for my mint nickel Model 57 no dash with 4 inch barrel for a mint 29-2 with 4 inch barrel that hopefully will be done next week.

How much for the 18?

$550 out the door for the Model 18-4 4 inch with magna grips, no accessories. I bought the 17-4 first so I carried it around the show for two hours and I had a least 6 people stop me and seriously ask me if I would sell it. I bought the 18-4 right before I was leaving the show so no one stopped me on that one.
