It's a fairly recent venue for a gun show, so since I was already helping a buddy with his 5 table endcap, I took an adjoining table and brought a few of my guns...It's open tomorrow also for those in the Lake Conroe area......Ben

Ben:
They are sponsoring a show in Bryan next weekend at our new Phillips Center. They stated a $20 entry fee (good for both days) but I am hesitant to believe a lot of folks will pay that much to get in a gun show. How was the crowd today?

We've been paying $15-$20 here for a while. Ante up or stay home. All the venues have got greedy the last few years. It's a serious disease here. A VERY popular gun store/builder no longer has a shop front because he cannot get a place with sensible rent. Same happened with the local flower shop. The problem often stems from Orange County CA landlords thinking they can charge OC rents in NV.

is this at the civic center?
I don't know if they call it that...It's a large multi-room meeting hall inside one of the hotel buildings at ground level...There are two entrances, one from the street, and the other (where I am) from the lake...Yes, you can drive your boat up to the dock (plenty of parking) and walk into the gun show...It's a very nice facility......Ben

It was a good crowd...Nobody likes to pay that much, but this promoter has his incentives...Yesterday he was handing out $5 coupons for his next week's show in Bryan...I'd like to attend that one, but I have three tables at the Conroe show next weekend, likely my last display show for a while......Ben
