Tuesday is my gun store run day. One of the major NE Ohio Glock suppliers is in my area. Of the 3 LGS I was in today 1 store had an AR 15 for sale he had held back. No Glocks. Ammo seemed to be available especially steel case 7.62 x39.
The 2nd one had 3 Glocks left, no S&Ws, a few revolvers and maybe a dozen assorted semi autos. No Semi Auto rifles and no rifle ammo. The 3rd LGS (Glock distributor) had only 40 caliber Glocks left and didn't even know when they were getting resupplied. They had about half of the used guns left and in new guns they had some Rugers and some S&W M&P's. NO AR's or AK's. They did have 3 Ruger 10/22s. (Now they have 2) :) I bought their compact one for my Grandson when he turns 10. He will be born in March. The last store had plenty of ammo except .223/ 5.56
I have never seen such a run on guns in my life. The gun store owners are seriously concerned...they need inventory to make money.
How is it where you all live?

Thanks, Nice to know I don't need to go around and check on things.

I saved Time, Gas and Energy.

Went into a gun shop today and found piles of everything except the AR-15 type rifles. They had just about any handgun you could want. Plenty of ammo, etc. They had a variety of .223/5.56mm in stock. They did limit sales of .22 LR ammo to four bricks. But I was told if I wanted more to just come back in a couple of days. They said they are trying to make sure that they have ammo for all the customers who just want to be able to go out and shoot their guns. Cool.

I saw a couple things I'd like to own, but they didn't hardly have anything in black guns there. That wall was bare! They have a port side Savage heavy barrel .308 with a muzzle brake I'd like, but mostly there are a couple DW 1911s in the case that were traded in that I could hardly tear myself away from.

I went in a couple stores Saturday. S&W revolvers were virtually unchanged from the pre-hype. Saw 686's, 60 pro, even a no-lock 642 for $379. 1911s were the same. Black guns, especially in 9mm were all gone. Lots of .40's though. One place had a table covered with 5.56 ammo but I didn't ask the price. All the .380 and 9mm was gone. Didn't look for .22 thinking it hopeless. The 'good' pawn shop was cleaned out - but that always happens right before the gun shows (DACA was at Market Hall this weekend). And, of course, no ARs or AKs to be seen. Also, no hi-cap mags - not that I wanted any - I just saw the bare rack.

But it was all as I expected.

Went to an indoor range/gun store yesterday (SE Michigan), and there were only a couple AR type rifles on the rack. A handful of tactical shotguns and that was it. Did not see any high cap mags for AR's, but I was looking for Ruger Mini-14 mags, and there were none. Normal amount of handguns, again, nothing I was interested in. Ammo was sparse. Limits on .223/5.56.

I stocked up over the last four years, so I'll just wait it out.

Pretty much the same around here. I stocked up and stayed that way just prior to 2008. I still look though and what I can't figure out is why the run on .22 long rifle ammo? There are none for sale anywhere around here and the local stores just recently got a few .22 magnums.

Same here but that's OK. I am not buying anything gun related any more. I have seen the light and the errors of my ways.

It's all madness I tell ya, madness!

Unless that very special something comes my way:D

Not one AR or AK-type rifle on the shelf at a local shop/range. A few handguns left in revolver and semi-auto, but no hi-cap magazines. Oh, a few shotguns were left, too. .223 and 7.62X39 ammo was gone and did not know when more would be in......thank you government.

The stores here look very bare. There are only a few boxes of 22 ammo anywhere. No 556/.223 to be found. The gun racks look decimated also. People are going crazy!

Ran around a little last night and one LGS had a sign in the case that they would no longer do any holds or layaways on Glocks. The glock case was near empty and they had a few used revolvers and semi autos but nothing spectacular. About 6 foot of shelf space that used to have 223 ammo on it is bone dry and although they had some 357, 45 auto and 38 special, all of the bulk packs were gone.

The handgun ammo and 223 ammo at another store was non-existant. Makes me glad I'd pick up a box here and there whether I needed it or not. I at least have some and at a price that I won't have to take out a loan to buy.

The shops I have visited in my area vary. Some have ammo, a few mags, but no AR or AK rifles to speak of. Except last night, Bass Pro Shop got in three Bushmaster carbines and they were not marked up. Twenty minutes to closing time and no mad rush for a $949.99 EBR.

Went to two stores today . Gander mountain bought 2 boxes 40 cal blazer ,all out of 223 and very little 22lr no ebr's at all. Next a mom and pop store bought large/small rifle primers ,1 box Hornady bullets and 1 box Sierra and a mag for the 5943. They said that they sold out most of there inventory so only a few lever guns and shotguns left and not a self loader long rifle to be had. Tomorrow I will hit up a few more for bullets and powder.

Picked up some .40 50rd boxes for 19$ finally still no pistol primers here :( I cleaned out the rifle primers for 23$ :(

They had probably 6 big packs of 500 22lr for 19.99$

And probably 30-35 boxes of tul for the ar

First time theve had any low dollar ammo since tshtf
