I need a little help ! I've had a Gunbroker account for many years and for some reason my account has been "locked" ! I've tried repeatedly to contact them using their "help/contact" link and also emailing their email address without success !
I've tried changing my login credentials as well as using different browsers.
Does anyone know how to contact them or have any suggestions ??
Thanks,
Brad

Incredible! I went through the same problem with them a few weeks ago… I was finally successful through sheer persistence. I must have exchanged at least 15 emails with them, and found most responses to be complete ****. I finally sent a stand alone email to their CS, simply requesting a password reset link. They responded with the link, and I was finally GTG. Try this link:

If you can't access the link, send me a PM…
Good luck and be persistent.

Thanks for the reply !,
Yeah I've gone through that routine about 2 times per day for over a week, absolutely no response at all !!. I emailed the Gunbroker email address, as an email outside of the website, several times and still no response.
I've tried changing my password, I've only ever had one email address so I tried to register a new account using a different email address(iCloud address) which I've never used. Still it somehow recognized me or something and gave me the same "locked" account !! Go figure !!
Again thanks for your response,
Brad

Yea, I dumped them a year or so ago when they started adding a 1% sales charge and collecting sales taxes that none of the sellers could tell me where the money was going, etc. Plenty of other online services out there that are just as good or better to deal with. Just my 2 cents worth…

The state sales tax is based on what state you live in. Maryland's tax rate is 6%, and it must be shown on the invoice that is sent to your FFL. If the sellers invoice does not specifically state sales tax and how much was collected then the receiving FFL must collect the state tax.
This is the way it works in Maryland per the FFL's that I have spoken to.
Yes, GunBroker does collect your sales tax and forwards said amount to them.

Word on the street at the last National Gun Day was forget GB and move to Guns International - no sales tax, the site owner personally answers emails, the site is extremely easy to use once you get the hang of it and it's considerably cheaper to sell. Many of the heavy hitters have made the move.

Tomorrow I'm expecting delivery of a c&r revolver I bought on GB. Final bid price was $725 and I wrote the check for $815 and that was with no transfer fee and $30 shipping. Even collect sales tax on shipping charges.

The old Auction Arms site, now Gun Auction.com, does not routinely charge/collect sales tax unless seller and buyer are in same state.

That will last as long as it takes for GI to become properly successful, at which point multiple states' attorneys general will gang up on them. Sorry, but the good old days of dodging sales (and in many states, "and use") taxes by getting stuff across state lines are probably gone for good.

Could well be but GI takes the position that they are nothing more than a classified ad website that brings buyers/sellers together and that they take no interest or commission from the sales price.

They make their money on the $15 per item insertion fee (regardless of price) for regular members or their $180 per month platinum membership fee for unlimited listings and listing updates.
