Guns and Protests

Your anarchists, whether commie agitators or not. They want to burn it all down if it isn’t obvious.
No, I do not find that "obvious." I do think that it is humorous that some of the same people who insist that 2A was meant to protect the people from a bad government, by use of force, turn around and badmouth people who protest, what they see as bad governing, without using firearms. ;)

These "disturbances" today are mostly bought and paid for and many are just performances by people who do this for a living. The lady who was supposedly shot with a rubber bullet in the head and being carried off by a squad of stooges wearing masks, her face covered in blood with an apparent hole in her noggin. In the same video she is shown close up, faking unconsciousness, without a scratch or mark on her and not a drop of blood, being carried by the same gang. This is what the protesters are trying to have us believe. In my city in Northern CA the protesters look like they've escaped from a rest home. 58 years ago I returned from VN and these same Bozos were out there doing the same thing. Only difference being today they are being paid for it and are old bored seniors instead of young bored Bozos.
Personal feelings: Anyone who goes to one of these things is got a hole in their screen door, anyone bringing a gun to one has an elevator that isn't going to the top floor. The whole thing is a rigged destructive joke and being involved is playing the fool. There are people involved who are trying to get people killed and the police are letting people get away with murder. Anarchy has its own reward and let the perps enjoy it by themselves.

That's just nonsense. I was at 2 protests in deep red SE NM; there were no paid protesters, no 'antifa' nor anarchists of any kind, and I was likely one of the oldest there.

I only went because of the political assassinations in Minnesota earlier in the day. Cowardice and murder over politics deserves pushback.

100% conspiracy theories and utter lunacy.

In other news, went to the range today and burned 100 rounds of .38 Special running drills- 1 to COM at 10 yards, 1 to the upper COM/chest at 25, 1 to the COM at 50 yards. With the Model 10, it was pretty easy, but I really had to slow down and focus more with the 442 and Model 36. My first groups at 25 weren’t great (and about 2/3 accuracy) and 50 was going 2/3 for hits, but they were all over the man-size target. Had to remind myself to slow down and use the sights more carefully, got the groups to around 8” overall. The 36 was a bit more accurate than the 442 in DA, but the sights were harder to pick up in the sunlight. The K-frame made it a lot easier than the snubs; I found all I really had to do was line up the front blade on the closer targets.

The 442 with the wooden Smith stocks was a bit stiff with Blazer 125gr, but smoother with generic Armscor 158gr FMJ. I put the Hogue monogrip back on and I found it far easier to control and aim; I think I’ll leave them on. My Model 36 has Pachymars on it, I think that was a significant contributor to its accuracy.

Overall, I felt a bit better-controlled than last time. I shot exclusively in DA, and found it easier than I thought to smoothly stage and pull the trigger when I wanted to.
