Guns of TV character Rick Hunter

M2 Flame thrower were must have for all 80s police officers. (LOL) Can you hear the defense? Judge my innocent little perp, had his chest singed right off.

Are maybe the bad guy stole it? Hard to find in a B&E. Even harder to fence. Reloads would be hard. Your corner stop & rob probably does stock jelled gasoline

A little off topic but I find it amazing that Fred Dryer played 13 years in the NFL.

He was a good player and played in SB XIV with LA vs. the Steelers. He is the only player to score two safeties in a single game.

He also, incidentally, almost played the role of Sam Malone but was beaten out by Ted Danson. He appeared in several early episodes of Cheers prior to doing Hunter.

And that was just season one!

“Works for me”

I distinctly remember Hunter carrying a 1911

Another Cheesey but Fun 80’s show was Matt Houston.

I got a hold of the first two seasons of TJ Hooker. Now that was some cheese. Shatner could have hidden a bazooka under his toupee.

I was a fan of Hunter. Watched it all the way to the end, when DeeDee left and was replaced. I can't remember her name, but she was in To Live and Die in L.A.. Darlene Flugel...? And, I think, he got promoted to Lt.? It's been a while.

The HK P9S, Beretta 92, and the SPAS-12 shotgun were the most memorable guns for me. As well as DeeDee's PPK/S.

I do remember wanting a green 1978 Plymouth Fury with a souped-up engine. I still remember the episode when Hunter told the police motor pool guy to take the souped engine from one car and put it in his Fury.

Sgt. Rick Hunter's duty carry sidearms

The character of Sgt. Rick Hunter (portrayed by Fred Dryer) in the TV series HUNTER carried several different weapons as his primary duty carry sidearm. In the first two seasons he carried the H&K P9S 9mm pistol with a barrel compensator.
In season three he switched to an Astra Terminator .44 Magnum revolver with a three inch barrel. In seasons five and six he carried the Beretta 92FS 9mm pistol. This was a standard issue pistol to LAPD officers during that time.
In season seven he carried the Smith & Wesson Model 5905 9mm pistol, which was produced in 1991 with a blue carbon steel slide and frame. At that time the S&W Model 5905 was authorized for duty carry by the LAPD. Sgt. Hunter used other pistols and revolvers for back-up/off duty, undercover, or exigent circumstances. He also used some rifles and shotguns during the series.

I remember it being a big deal that both Minnesota and the Rams had an entire front line where each person weighed over 200 lbs. It was a different game back then.
