Guns we wish S&W would make

return of the 22 kit gun in blue 2".
as mentioned in the wish list an air force commemrative model 15- but make it a shooting gun not all gold and gaudy. essentially a reproduction of the actual issue gun with similar markings. perhaps also a 2 inch version stamped model 56
I also like the idea of a slightly smaller j-frame 9mm, and also a slightly larger diameter cylinder j to accomodate 5 40 S&W's

A round butt L-frame in 41 Special with a mountain gun barrel profile might be interesting in 4 or 5 inch or both.

That Smith would finally make a true .41 Special revolver in either a 5 shot L frame or a six shot small N-frame with a 3-inch barrel. A great caliber that needs to get out of the wildcat shadow.

10-shot 4" barreled 647 (.17 HMR)

4, 5, and 6 inch barreled revolver in .357Sig. (similar to a 610)

Id like to see the 327 Federal in stainless on a 5 or 6 inch K frame. (No lock)

+1. I would like mine to have a skinny barrel. I'd also like to see a 5" or 6" barrel model 632 in 327 federal and a skinny barrel 6" model 617 (10 shots).

Get rid of all those stupid useless Python copying full underlugs. Who needs a full lug barrel on a .22 or .38..

You may not like the look or weight of the underlugged barrels, but I for one do, and am glad they make/made them.

I don't think they are stupid or useless. To each their own.

I've always dreamed of owning some N frame "pistol Packs" in several magnum calibers. In other words, a S&W interchangeable barrel combination in the Dan Wesson tradition.

I'd love to see it available with a 3 1/2", 5", and 7 1/2" barrel package in all the popular magnum calibers. .357, .41. .44 and .45 LC and/or 45ACP, all available in stainless or blue.

I'd have to own one of each caliber........

In a revolver? A K-frame magnum - 3" full lug barrel - 357 caliber - available with adjustable sights or fixed - blue of course. Forged parts. No MIM, lock or any of those other "innovations".

In a semi auto? A Scandium framed 4506 - melonite finish - fixed or adjustable sights. Regards 18DAI.

[...] Final thought, a 9mm tapered barrel, semi lugged, 4 inch, 6 shot moon clip variant of the 686 with the DX sight system. That would make for the Ideal revolver for IDPA style action matches in the revolver classes. [...]

+1 :D but add longer barrels as an option for action matches that don't limit barrels to 4".

[...] My dream guns would be 22. lr versions of the Model 19 , 66 and 27.
All would weigh exactly the same as their Magnum big brothers and all have the same half lug profile shrouded ejector rods as the originals .

For a couple decades 4" 19s had the same catalog weight as 18s, 36 oz. After 18s were dropped they were replaced by heavier 4" 17s which had the same bull barrel profile as 19s except without an ejector rod shroud. I'd say the 18 was as close to an ideal trainer for 4" 19s as could have been made.

Best Regards,

Bring back the 547 in 3" and 4" barrels and in blued and stainless steel versions.

I would like them to bring back any number of discontinued models, like the 696, the 24-3 & 624, the 25-2, the 3.5" & 5" 27 and the 5" 610. Of course if they did they would all have the idiot lock and MIM hammers and triggers. I'd be so irritated about that I wouldn't buy them anyway. Probably just as well I'm stuck with buying the old ones. (LOL)

-how about a blue version of the 610 with 3", 4" and 5" bbl options. I'd have a 3" and a 5" just because.
-The best gun they never made would be a Centennial K-frame in 357 magnum. I'd own several variations (fixed/adj sights, short and long bbls). With a 3" ejector shrouded bbl it would be the ultimate carry revolver.
-They made some Ladysmith Model 65s with 3" shrouded bbls. Some similar M-13s would be nice, although without the "ladysmith" logos.

Realistic wish list, because I know they would all be MIM (which is fine with me) and have IL's (which I can remove)

A 2",3", and 4" fixed sight K-frame .327......another model with adjustable sights.....think Model 64 and 67 chambered for .327. It would solve the needs of people wanting .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Mag revolver.

A K-frame chambered in 7.62x25.

A Heavy Barrel 6" Model 64 and 10.

i wish s&w would bring back the model victory that they made for the military during ww2 but without out that darn ugly lawyer lock!
also i wish that they would make a reproduction of General Patton's registered Magnum also without that darn ugly lawyer lock!

In order of desire ...

1) M19 with one-piece 3" pinned barrel, no lock, no mim, preferably standard black target sights

2) M67 with one-piece 2" pinned barrel, no lock, no mim, preferably standard black target sights (front sight dove-tailed in)

3) M27 with one-piece 3.5" pinned barrel, no lock, no mim, preferably standard black sights

4) M640 with one-piece 2" pinned barrel, no lock, no mim, mini night sights

5) M610 with one-piece 3" pinned barrel, no lock, no mim, preferably standard black target sights (front sight dove-tailed in)

I would pay a premium for any of these (performance center or not).
