Guns you own, but haven't shot yet !!

GSG-5 SD Titanium 1st anniversary edition, and FR-8 spanish mauser 308. Have a saiga 410 that finally got shot last week after months of sitting.

I can't stand owning anything that don't have at least a box of shells for.

I'm even worse. Not only at least a box of shells I usually end up with loading dies, bullet molds and/or bullets, a couple hundred rounds of brass , etc. Even if I know that I probably will shoot 10 or 15 rounds and then it goes into the safe never to be shot again.:o

Most of my milsurps. I buy for the history, the collecting, the preservation.

Yep, got a few.. :) Some oldies, a mix of rifles and handguns. I think all the modern post 1990 ones have been shot.

Last time out, we took a 1937 K-22 Outdoorsman, a S&W model 1917 .45 ACP, Ruger LCP, Ruger LCR and a 1937 Russian Tokarev TT33.

Most I just haven't had a chance to take out and shoot. When it gets cooler, we may take a few to an outdoor range.

I haven't fired this Colt D.A. Army Model 1903 and never will. They are fragile pistols and I see no reason to have some malfunction destroy it to satisfy my desire to shoot it.

This thread got me thinking.

Winchester first year model 71
My latest Winchester model 94
Savage 99 in 308
Remington model 8 in .25 Remington
Remington model 81 in 300 savage
Remington model 700 in .280
sks

I have several boxes or more of ammo for all the above, just haven't got em out? Maybe I do have enough ?

Rick

I came up with thirty eight.

Some are broken - Remington 11-48 16 gauge missing a few parts.

Some I've got no ammo for - Remington double derringer 41RF.

Some are both - S&W 1881 DA. I have no black powder 44 Russian, and it is drastically out of time.

Some are too new - Remington #4 Rolling Block 22, picked it up yesterday.

One is NIB. I bought a consecutive numbered pair, and have shot one. The other'n might be worth money some day. Maybe/maybe not, but if it is, it will be worth more still having the factory grease on it.

But for most it is just - I ain't never got around to it.

Rick,
You got my attention with the Remmy 8 and 81. I'd like to have one of them dudes. Poor ole Bonnie and Clyde.

Just a Stoeger luger (.22LR) and my new model 60, just got that one a couple of days ago. Hope to rectify that this weekend.

3 or 4 new trades but with the fall weather coming shortly I can fix that. I have plenty of ammo that I have loaded in the hot summer days. Send primers

Just one (1). My only safe queen (king?) It is my Springfield 1911 Sesquicentennial (150) year commemorative of my department's creation. Other than that one pistol I have shot every single one of them.

I have a lot of guns and very few I've never shot. Most of the virgins are rifles. Bought a lot of military rifles when they were cheap. Most are just on display and duplicates stored away. Unfired... at least by me.

Can't think of a handgun that's unfired except one model 59 that is unfired and nib. Plan to keep it that way for a while.

One rifle of note is a beautiful Thompson Center .50 caliber Hawken. Given to me by my wife, now ex-wife, over 30 years ago for Christmas. Was back when I was on a black powder kick. Gun has never been fired. Gun seems to pretty to shoot now knowing what black powder can do to blued steel and brass. And the memories, good ones, associated with it.

Unfired and NIB

Unfired by me:
Don't know of any other than the 4 digit Ser # Garand I am waiting on to get back from th GS. I'm having it converted back to a Gas Trap Garand.

Unfired NIB:

Model 59 Blue
Model 59 Nickel
S & W 1500 30-06 Made by Howa with custom Weatherby Grade V wood, 18" Bbl. and custom sights.
Browning/Winchester Model 12 28 Ga. DU Gun of the year. Won it as a door prize in 1995? at a DU Dinner. 1 of 1000 produced. Frosted Nickel receiver with gold inlays and Grade V wood. I don't even own a box of shells for this one.
