Guns you've always wanted but never obtained.

There are two guns that come to mind that I would like to have
H&K P7
Ruger 44 Magnum Carbine.

The Ruger I have held several but for some reason or another did not acquire, but it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.

Me too!!! Now they are really going too high.... I have a smooth ramp Baby, and would like a half penny and a serrated ramp to keep it company.

Best Regards, Les

me too too! i have a smooth ramp baby chief also! I have a Terrier and 32 Hand Ejector to keep it company.

My three Big wants:
1. Beretta "Cheetah" .22RF (not the target version)
2. Winchester 88 in .308.
3. Colt SAA in .32WCF. (Have one in .357, .45 Colt, and .38WCF)
All are high budget items on my retired/fixed income.

Need these two guns to fill gaping holes in my collection. Already have all the other models. They must be NIB/ANIB with everything shipped from the factory.

1. Bren Ten Jeff Cooper Commemorative Model-12 or less built

2. Bren Ten Dual Master Presentation Set-less than 50 sets built

A high grade five screw 6 1/2" Pre-M29 would be nice also.

I will add to my list. I always like the Holland&Holland side by sides. Would like to have a rifle/shotgun set in .303 Brit and 20ga. Seeing the wonderful Youtube video on H&H craftsmanship always makes me desirous of their work.

Watching that video was the best spent 20 minutes that I can remember recently. Thanks. I thought I knew a little about what goes into making one of, if not the best, guns in the world. All I can say is...Wow!!

Thanks again... And Best Regards, Les

Incredible lists and great thread! Four that keep me going to weekend gun shows and draining bank accounts.

1. Winchester Model 23 SxS 12 gauge
2. Remington 700 Sendero 300 Win Mag
3. Beretta 93R
4. Nickel 4 screw pre-29 5"

My needs are minimal, always just need a couple more .........
Springfield M1A Super Match
Marlin Lever in 41 mag and 32 Spl
Savage Mod 10 .308
And of coarse any S&W wheelgun that I don't already own :)

Well there are a couple that come to mind.

- A 686 pre-dash from March 1982
- Original 1911 from WW2 like my grandfather's would have been issued
- Kimber SIS - passed on one a couple of years back, and didn't realize what a deal it was until after it had been sold
- HK MP5 - IDK why but this gun has always caught my eye
- HK 45 - if their 45s are as nice as my P30 in 9mm - what's not to love

Thought of another few
- WW2 era Inland / GM .30 carbine
- Any Knighthawk, Dan Wesson, Republic Forged 1911

I have managed to obtain Colts, Smiths, WW I and WWII rifles, pistols, revolvers, the essential Black Widow Luger, and even the "guns of my youth" but there is still one out there somewhere that I would dearly love to snag and shoot again...a few more times before the Great Last Round of the Day catches up to me.

She is ugly, ungainly, iron sighted, and last I saw of her 53 some years ago she sat in a corner of a closet because there was no room in the rifle/shotgun display cabinet.

Savage Model 322A in .22 Hornet....that rifle dispatched more woodchucks around Southwestern NY (right on the Pennsy line) than I can count. Dairy farmers were paying me .25 cents per tail, and I'm here to tell you my boyhood friends and I made some pretty good scratch most all summer long.

That Savage had the butter knife bolt handle, box magazine, iron sights, and would easily reach out there to 100 yds with no sweat.

I have no clue what they sold new for, mine cost me $25 and it did have handling marks, but the loving/working kind and was bought from a farmer who was moving on.

I watch GB and other sites but rarely do I see the exact one with the butter knife, in decent shape for any kind of coin, usually I see "this auction ended".....like years ago.

One of the long list of guns I "always wanted", but never owned is coming to me as we speak: a CZ 75. I know, I know... Well, I'll let you guys know how I like it. Haven't bought a 9mm since one of the importers had the Walther P5 for sale about 20 years ago. Still have that one, but haven't shot it for a long time. I am interested in the CZ 75, partly as a result of its cult like status during the waning years of the Cold War, and partly as a result of positive reviews by Jeff Cooper.

Best Regards, Les
I bought a new CZ75B 9MM single action 15 or 20 years ago.
Really a nice gun. I liked it so well I gave it to my Grandson.
Now He is a Cop and his wife uses the CZ for home protection.
