I found a Arkansas State Police marked 4" 38/44 heavy duty and Junior found a U.S. Navy marked Victory. The HD is a reblue, which I understand most of them were. It has diamond magmas not numbered to the gun although they are in pretty good shape. It's in very good shape mechanically and for the price I got it for and the reblue issue I'm not going to mind shooting it some.

The Victory Junior got has all matching numbers and appears to be unfired or very lightly fired. If it had the correct grips I'd give it a 99%, unfortunately it does not. The grips are non diamond magmas dating to around 1969. They are numbered but of course not to the gun. We'll add some pictures and numbers and make sure the data bases get the info sometime tomorrow.

Ebay often has correct Victory grips, so if Junior wants to restore the gun to original, perhaps he can sell what's on the gun and can pick up a pair of smooth walnut original Victory grips, for about an even exchange moneywise. Ed.
