I have just about had it with Apple but I doubt if they really care. The latest update to software has split screens popping up all the time and unwanted icons at the bottom of the screen and from what I can find there is nothing you as the user can do about it and pictures and call records from my wife's phone show up on my phone and my stuff on hers. There is nothing on my phone that I care if she sees but it clutters both of our phones.
Any android users have a suggestion for a good android phone and a tablet I would appreciate you sharing with me. The phone I have now is a iPhone 11 that I bought after always using android and I bought it against my better judgment.

My Samsung S8+ is still working fine despite continuous harassment from my wife and daughter to get an iPhone.

Sounds familiar. All my girls have iPhones and think I should too. I've been using a Motorola Moto G Power android for a while now. Does everything I need and it cost $250. I'm not really all that frugal but I refuse to pay upwards of $1K for something that will be lost, broken or 'obsolete' in a couple of years.

Picked my phone because it was on the approved list that could use WiFi calling from my provider.
Grabbed the Samsung Android tablet from Costco.

Sent from my motorola one 5G using Tapatalk

Was this the latest one that came down in the last day or so, IOS 15.5? I just downloaded it and haven't even looked at it yet.

Sounds to me like you and your wife are sharing an iCloud account, with both your phones syncing to it. If you have separate accounts, that shouldn't happen. (Or all iPhone owners would be sharing info with one another, I think.)

Anyway, that's what it sounds like to me.

I'd call Apple and ask for some help. I have found them very responsive.

Good luck.

Yes I believe that is it, I tried to fina a way to turn those features off but what I was able to find you can't turn it off. My old android phone was a motoX and it was good.

I think you are right about the cloud, I do need to have the phones separated but this latest thing is the biggie.

I switched from Samsung to Motorola Moto G Power because of the cost and the awesome battery life. I charge it up every 10 days. My son stayed with Samsung.

Arlo is dead on. Go to the apple store and sit down with a technician. They will fix it how you want in about 10 seconds. (I am always embarrassed at how quickly they resolve the issues I go in all steamed up about).

Is you talking about IOS 15.5?
Just updated my iPad and iPhone with no problems , at least none yet.
So far I don't really see anything different.
But it's early!
The waste material could impact the cooling device at any time!
Vigilance is recommended.

The Motorola phones have the reputation of having a better antenna which is why I had my motoX. I spend a good bit of time in a mountainous area where the signal is marginal which was the reason I originally purchased the Motorola. I do think Motorola phones are a lot of phone for the reasonable price. My choice will probably be motorola or Samsung if I can get everything in the iPhone transferred to an android phone. The new Samsung phones have great cameras. Thanks for all your input.

I keep our Apple devices—all 11 of them—fully up to date and have had no issues. My wife and I share my Apple ID for the App Store only, and use separate IDs for everything else.

Take it in to an Apple store if you have one nearby. Otherwise call them. I wouldn't bother with a carrier store as they tend to be clueless about anything other than activation.

I have had wonderful operation from Samsung's. I'm on my third, over the past 15 or so years. Currently a Galaxy J7 Aura. I have traveled to WA and CO no problem with service anywhere. I have never had an update cause me any problems.

All Apple all the time. Phone, IPad, watch.
Yep. No watch, but iPad and iPhone. The wife has an iPhone and MacBook but says she wants to ditch the MacBook, now five or six years old, and move to an iPad. Good news for me because I am at a loss, often, when she asks for help with the MacBook. I know the iPad well, and have not used anything other than the iPad and iPhone since retiring in 2012.

I think Apple is overpriced, but they make a wonderful, reliable product and their tech support is terrific. I figure I'll pay more for the lack of aggravation.

(I have noticed, though, that guys who are into fiddling with computers — also known as being more tech savvy than yours truly — prefer Android devices.)

I've been avoiding as many things as possible that are made in one particular country.
I search before buying and if there's an alternative I usually go with it.
Do you know where your devices are made?
