Had some trouble with S&W, but they took care of it

Smith Wesson could take a lesson from Ruger's customer service. I sent back my LCR for an issue had it back 7 days door to door and it was FIXED. All my send backs to S+W's for repairs turned out to be a nightmare. I bought a new 442-1 yesterday I'm taking it to the range today fingers crossed. Oh yeah the trigger sucks but I can live with that as long as it goes bang 5 times:) I'll report back.

Just in case anyone's interested I just got back from the range today with my new 442–1 and it shot just fine. I'm hoping the trigger breaks in as I shoot the gun. So far so good.

I took delivery of my replacement, and this one is as it should be. This one seems like it was manufactured properly and it functions like a normal gun, which was all I ever wanted since the day I bought the first one.

I also updated the title of this post and the original post.

Glad to hear that the Factory took care of the problem. There is nothing worse than laying out a wad of Cash for a Gun that you really want and Discovering a Major Defect. It happened to me with a 686-6 that I bought used on GB. It had the Firing Pin bushing Destroyed by Primer Leakage.
Since the Sale was as is no return I thought that I was Screwed. I called S&W Customer Service and Got a Label. Sent in the Gun expecting a Big Bill. Within 2 weeks I got a tracking number from Fedex and they delivered the 686 with an invoice saying fixed under warranty. The gun could have passed for brand new. They took care of me Big Time
