I was just looking at a S&W 4513TSW and I am planning on getting it. My question is, if I wanted to change the hammer to a bobbed hammer could it be done. The only reason I ask is that I can not find that version/size anywhere that has an exposed hammer. Please advise.

I'm a little confused by your question and/or terminology. I believe the 4513TSW comes with the bobbed hammer, similar to the one on my 4013TSW shown below. The other option is a spurred (exposed) hammer. Which one does the gun currently have and which one do you want to change it to? You can change it to one or the other but you need to use the correct stirrup. At least I think it is the stirrup - someone else can correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry, it is my terminology that sucks...lol. The gun currently has a bobbed hammer...I want the spurred (exposed) hammer. Is changing the hammer something I can do or will I need a smith to do it. I handled the piece today and fell in love. My only problem is that it feels a little large for my hand and it has the factory plactics for grips, I want the ones like on yours which I know are much larger or at least they were on my 5906.
