Hammer question

I just picked up a 13-1 and a 19-2 today and have a question. The 13 dates to 1976 and the 19 to 1966. The 13 is all original but the 19 is interesting. It has a hammer that I have never seen before and some kind of target stocks that are very nice and the best action of any of my Smiths. Not very good pics but can anyone shed some light on this hammer and stocks? Thanks

The hammer is an aftermarket target accessory, as are the grips.
Several companies made aftermarket hammers or modified S&W original hammers. Or it could have been modified by a gunsmith.
The grips are possible Roper grips, which were very popular and are quite valuable today.
Nice gun.

Some one put the wrong mushrooms in the salad before they checkered the hammer. The 19-2 is a nice gun and is interesting, just a little weird for my taste.

Thanks guys, I thought the grips might be Ropers but I have no idea about the hammer. The grips will be replaced but I guess the hammer will stay. This gun is probably 80% and has a unbelievable trigger so it will be a shooter. Thanks again

I think part of the reason for your unbelievable trigger is because it has been changed and probably 'tuned up'.
