Is there a semi-target (.375 inch) or target (.5 inch) hammer available in the "long" hammer style of the Victory revolvers? I am currently shooting a Victory revolver quite a bit and would like to put a larger thumb purchase type hammer on the revolver. I am not inclined to weld one together. I would think the target hammers were available prior to WWII. I just haven't found one in my searches.

Fraid not. Factory target hammers didn't appear until about 1950 or so and were for the short action revolvers.

You would need to get out your rabbit's foot and four-leaf clover and look for a pre-war King's cockeyed or double cockeyed hammer.

Good luck!

I have heard of those hammers, but not what I hoped for. I like to shoot single action and prefer the wider hammer, easier on the thumb. I sure appreciate you wisdom, and will just get a sore thumb when shooting. I do generally wear a glove. Thanks
