A few ago was going home with a Buddy of mine from Langley.
He’s making hard turns on those Goat Trails you folks call roads.
I scream, We Are Going in a Circle!
Continuous Left Turns!
He replied, you missed that one easy Right Turn.
He passed a while back.
I hope he can drive his MG in the Next Level.

Well, if the liquor stores are empty, definitely no reason to stop! I like to go out and run around in my truck when we get a heavy snow just for fun. Haven't had a god 10 or 12 incher for a few years. It's easy to get going with 4WD, the hard part is getting stopped.

I don't wanna hear it!! Not too long ago when I was complaining to Old Bear about the 27 inches of global warming we received in one night, he was rubbing it in about the 75 degree sunshine weather he was enjoying in North Carolina while walking around in his shorts!! Fred sure knows how to get to his friends.:D

Of course, as my mom used to tell me, "Don't dish it out if you can't take it.":)

Man.......

....we've gotten 6" here AT ONE TIME!. The town was paralyzed for days. It doesn't stop people from wrecking though. Everybody drives as fast as they can on ice and snow so they can get out it quicker. There's a lot of excess horse sense around here concernin' the weather.

Meanwhile, in England, this is the main road out of a place called Upton-on-Severn. Looks like the gas station is in the Severn. The river should only be in the lower right of the picture. The trees mark the river bank.

All the rivers in the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire areas are at flood levels above anything seen in the last 110 years.

Why is it that people who own 4X4 vehicles believe that the laws of physics do not apply to them? It is 4X4 vehicles who are speeding through the ice and snow with absolutely no concern about stopping distances on ice and snow.

Why?, because they are idiots.

Exactly!! Some of those bozos don't realize that a 4-wheel drive vehicle on ice just means that all four wheels are spinning out of control instead of just two!

I am a 4x4 driver. My intelligence has always been suspect by other people, so I'm used to it. A week ago Wednesday we had a 2 or 3 inch slush fest that was gone the next day, I'm trying to get home and people were doing 35MPH on a Interstate with no snow on it! On Surface roads drivers were doing 15 on salted clean but wet streets! The 4x4 drivers driving at 35mph really are flying by! We have had such mild winters for the last few years, those with no memory forgot the lessons they learned in the last storm. I believe they would be much safer and better off if they parked at home or work, since they are not interested in actually paying attention to what needs done!

Vent/Rant over.

Ivan
