I may be traveling through Arizona, Texas, Colorado and maybe New Mexico towards the end of the year. I don't have a concealed carry permit. Does anyone know the individual state regulations for lawfully transporting a handgun in each of these states? Is there a single website that will show me the individual state regulations?

In Texas, do not carry concealed in your vehicle. Do not have your handgun visible inside the vehicle, such as on the seat next to you or on the floor by your feet. Keep it in your closed console, closed glove compartment or in a case under the seat. OR keep it in the trunk.

Arizona is an open carry state. You can carry inside the glovebox/center console as long as its in a holster (2 step rule). There is no legal requirement to notify a leo of the gun, some consider it a common courtesy, but that is up to you. +1 on USAcarry.com to check the laws and verify.

Since you asked about transport(as opposed to carry) you only need worry about federal law and the law is pretty straightforward.

Notwithstanding any state or local law, a person shall be entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he may lawfully possess and transport such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and transport such firearm if the firearm is unloaded and in a locked container. In vehicles without a locked container, the unloaded firearm shall be in a locked box other than the glove compartment or console.
