Happened to stop at a LGS yesterday (Northfield Guns) after work to see if any of my "must have" guns might be for sale.

I didn't really see anything, but after some casual discussion with the owner (Jim) in which I mentioned one of those must have items is a M27, we walked over to another counter & he pulled out a zippered soft case saying "Let me show you this gun; it just came in & didn't make it to the shelf".

From the rug he pulled a gorgeous 6" 27-2 in nickel. Really a nice piece; the turn line was evident but this gun was clean. I started to think I might have to talk with my wife about taking a loan out from the household budget - I've bought a few guns lately - when Jim further offered that it was sold almost immediately.

So....the household budget is safe for a while.....

Anyway - anyone here the lucky buyer?

"Bad timing."

In a previous post asking for a definition of "bad timing" I posted the reply:
"For me "bad timing" is arriving at the place with the great revolver at a great price after the other guy already bought it. Unfortunately that's usually the case. I prefer "good timing".

Your story is a good example of "bad timing"
