Handled My First M&P. Trigger Question.

Im a Sig guy, before that I owned a Glock, but HATED the trigger as it rubbed my finger wrong. Ive read all about the m&p trigger and had an idea of what to expect when I went to my local gun shop.
First, the trigger was lighter than what I expected (non pro). But the trigger reset was a two stage effect. I fired, held the trigger, slid the slide back and went to reset an got fooled by what felt to be a reset. It wasnt until I did it again to figure out that I need to wait for two "clicks" that it resets.
Is this normal? Does the "ARM" upgrade cure that?

Many of them are that way at first. Lube and use, or a bit of smoothing, gets them right.
If you're used to a $2000 STI or the single action trigger on a SIG, they may seem rough from the production line. And you'll never think the trigger is like a single action.
My 9 Pro is slick after a little TLC.

The Apex RAM fixes the reset issues.

The DCAEK cleans up trigger pull related issues (if they are not to your liking.)

My humble opinion is that every M&P you try has its own trigger pull.

Seriously, every M&P I handle seems to have a completely different trigger pull than the last one. The .40 I handled at the base gun counter had a stiff and mushy break, the 9mm I handled there was a dead ringer for a Glock pull, and the used M&P 45 down the street feels like a soft 1911 with a quick takeup and zero mush , give , or even slack.

Cool. The trigger on the one I tried was great. It was just the reset that threw me. I think a .40 will be my xmas present to myself!
