Hansen Cartridge Co operated in the late 80s and early 90s, as the US importer and marketer of the imported brand now known as "Prvi Partizan," and made in one of the current countries that made up the former Yugoslavia. Hansen ammo had the headstamp "nny" which is Cyrillic for "PPU." When civil war tore apart Yugoslavia in 92 or 93, Hansen could get no product and went under. The PPU factory rebuilt after the war and now manufactures ammo under the Prvi Partizan brand name, with the same "nny" headstamp as before.

thanks mine are marked imi

Yes, Hansen did import ammo from IMI in Israel for a short time, mostly handgun and NATO-type cartridges, but the bulk of their business was marketing PPU ammo. They could not do enough turnover in IMI ammo, and couldn't find other overseas manufacturers to deal with and simply folded.

Does anyone know if any of the Hansen ammo, was corrosive in pistol or rifle calibers?

I recently gave away my old issue of Barnes Cartridges of the World as I got the recent (11th) edition for Xmas , but the old one (7th?) had several boxes of Hansen cartridges on the cover and all said non-corrosive.

I once had a case of Hansen SS109/M855 for my AR15. It was made by IMI--all modern, non-corrosive ammo.
