Happy Resurrection Day.

The day we celebrate the One whose victory over death brought:
Hope to the hopeless.
Love to the unlovable.
Acceptance to the rejected.
Cleansing to the defiled.
Freedom to the captive.
Deliverance to the forsaken.
Eternal life to the condemned.

God Bless,

Bill

Yesterday, Good Friday, I attended services (and will on Easter tomorrow) in a small chapel near Saddam's old Ba'ath Party headquarters. The small building has been a chapel since it was built. It was used by Saddam's cooks. Apparently Saddam trusted Christians, and not Mulims, to cook for him.

Babylon is still part of God's plan.

Every Sunday is a celebration of Jesus' resurrection and His defeat of death.

I don't mean to split hairs too fine, but I've always thought Good Friday was the really important day. Easter Sunday seems more like God's way of proving the point.

What?

I'm "offended with the mention of the Resurrection of Christ on this forum!"

Far from it . . .

In this very sad hour in the history of the world, one TRUTH still stands as strong and eternal as any . . .

God sent, and gave His own son, to pay the ultimate sacrifice of brutal humiliation, extreme pain and the most excruciating type of death man ever figured out how to inflict on an enemy . . . so that the sacrifice of His blood could atone for our sins, and once again allow those who would accept Him and his sacrifice to be able to once again tabernacle with God for the remainder of eternity in His Heaven . . . around the Holy of Holies where God dwells . . . forever in peace and joy.

His IS risen, and today Christ is the High Priest of the Holy of Holies in Heaven, constantly interceding to the Father in our behalf.

And, as much as I love this world . . . I truly look forward to the day in eternity when I can thank Him, and bow down to worship the Lord in that awesome place!

Happy Resurrection Day to all true believers out there . . . as we rejoice that we have such an awesome God who would do all of this . . . just for you and I.

Tom

PS: Good Friday would be nothing without the "Easter" . . . oops . . . I mean the Resurrection!

Kind of hard to separate the two --- the perfect sacrfice for the remission of sin and the resurrection to eternal life.

Wow! Your post brought a bright spot to what is going on in the USA today.
I gotta just keep remembering that GOD is in control of all things.
Thanks for putting me back on track on what is really important.

Happy resurrection day to you to Tom.
