hard to beat simple .... 642-1

"BTW, I don't like the new rapp/bubble gum, girly man country music either!!! Give me Merle, or Hank Snow, or, Johnny Cash any day!!!!!!!"

Again, I couldn't agree more.

While this may be true I would still rather look at the current ladies of Country than these guys. ;)
Frank.

I too have gone back to revolvers. Carry a Ruger SP101 .357 and just bought a new 642-2. Traded a Glock 27 for the SP101 after 6 months.

In my arthritic old age I need the heft of a steel gun to handle recoil. After so many years of pocket-carrying a steel J-frame the weight doesn't bother me. Mine's an early 640, hence no snagging problems, and it's carried in a pocket holster always. I've never even considered carrying an unholstered gun that can shift in a pocket, making a draw clumsy, and pick up lint and crud.

642 and 442 are great guns! I prefer a steel J frame as my BUG though. I have a model 49 that looks awful cosmetically but has a very smooth trigger. The extra weight doesn't bother me in the pocket one bit. I actually have come to prefer the extra weight.
