2 shots. Indoor range at 15 yards. The first shot glanced off the card just at the top of the club. The second shot was true and split the card! You know what they say, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Thats good shooting if you did.
Do you have video?

ledman, as God is my witness I really did that. Just about an hour ago. I got the idea from another forum. I have to admit that I cheated a little...my M&P is topped with a 4X scope and I was using a Harris bipod. Still damn difficult if you ask me.

I've not tried this particular item, but this past weekend, a friend and I were at a local range shooting targets at 50 yards... We had the targets pinned up with wooden clothes pins. After we'd get tired of shooting the target, we'd shoot the clothes pins off the rack.....at 50 yards...with the stock iron sights...

I thought that was pretty decent...

Lovin' my M&P 15-22

I just don't see that being all that hard to do with a scope and a bipod, especially at only 15 yards.

No, that's cool, just would be cool to see something like that! GJ!

I'll tell you what, go ahead and try. I'll even give you three shots to do it with. And, if you do get lucky (which I admitted I was) post your photos so we can see. I won't be holding my breath waiting for your pics though...

Mark, you related to Bob Munden?

What I want to know is how did you attach the card to the target so that the edge faced you?
Don't attach them.
Hang it on a thread so it will swing and twirl in the wind........
It's all in the timing.
:D

and then have someone else place the blind folds on cause its dangerous to do so with a loaded gun in your hands:D

Nice Shoot'N

Nice Job… I applaud your thinking out of the box, and posting something a little different. Thank You.... Nice Shoot'n!

I took a sheet of cardboard and scored it with a razor blade. Then, I just stuck the card in the slot. It holds it nice and tight. :)

That is some nice shooting, for a indoor range, let's see what you can do at 50yrds outside and just irons and no rest (table, bipod.)

Steven Segal can light a match and blow the tops off Q-Tips with a 1911, try doing that, I DID

Don't ask how i did either:rolleyes:

Yeah, don't hold your breath buddy. I didn't say I was going to do it, I said it didn't seem like it would be all that hard. If you have a scope that's sighted in and you're resting with a bipod, how hard could it possibly be? I mean yeah, you did get lucky splitting it like that, but I mean come on.

And what I am saying is try it before you form opinions on how easy it is. Seems to me you are posting ideas on something you have obviously never tried.

Everyone else seems to be having fun with this thread...maybe it's you.

you ever watch Impossible Shots on The Outdoor Channel? The Cisko Kid can do this drawing from the hip with a SA Revolver. Pretty impressive. And he does it with a fast draw.

The guys on that show (save Ciscko) sure show that just because you are 60+ doesn't mean you lose all your skills. Watch Jerry Miculek. He may just be my hero

Yeah seriously. I watched it last night and that one old guy that shoots the black powder gun shot a dime from like 25 yards away with a black powder rifle just standing there, not resting it or anything. That's impressive, what you did, is not.

well, not sure i would take a shot at the OP but i have to seriously wonder if the guy with the black powder has some of the best skills. doing what he does with that old musket is impressive.

How about just letting it go, and let the folks have some fun?

It is difficult under any circumstances with a RN 22 slug. Quite often, the card deflects and does not split, even with edge-on hits.

I'm not saying it wasn't a good shot, because it was. Especially to split it like he did, that's right next to impossible. So maybe there was a steady hand, and some luck involved :D

I Know Cush...

.... And he'd take that slug before he lied about it.

Nice going Cush! Must be you're learning to shoot like Ryan.... :)
