Has anyone gone 100% revolver?

I'm not all revolvers, but I am "all Smith & Wesson all the time"

Now own considerably more revolvers than semi's.

Still not ready to divest of the 1911's or Hi-Powers for shooting.

While really like the 696 for size/power ratio, a 3 in 45 acp fits in same ratio.

I'm down to two.....

1)a 1911 that was my cousin's service weapon. He was kia on Dec 3, 1944 at the Leyte Gulf. I was 9 months old at the time and obviously never knew him.

2) A Ruger LCP .380 for the pocket.

I love my sw model 10's. I inherited a unshot
sw model 59 with 2 14 shot clips in 9mm.

Is this a considered a quality piece ?

Hey Bigpat100, I know the love of the Model 10 too. Here is my favorite in my S&W collection. She's a mint 2" from 1982. Any one want to show there model 10's, I would love to see.

Looking great in her birthday suit....

All dressed up for a night on the town...

All sported up for an afternoon at the range..

I don't have many hand guns, but they are all wheelguns - S&W, Ruger, Colt and USFA, ranging from .22 LR to .44 magnum. Was just about ready to get my first bottom feeder ... but bought a Corvette ... so looks like any pending semi-autos are gonna have to wait.

I always thought of a fine revolver as a piece of art, and semi-autos more tool-like and utilitarian. There was a time when revolvers outnumbered my autos. Now i think its about even. Most of my autos are Sigs, while S&W are the predominant wheelgun.

A single cartridge like .357 makes a lot of sense. It is too late for me to start over now, I would be too sad to give up my autos! However, I just got rid of 2,500 rounds of .40sw. It is a good round, but space was running out. I whittled everything down to .45, .38/.357, 9mm, and .357sig. The latter may yet be sacrificed.

I would not be put-off by limiting myself to one caliber, but as long as we have the luxury, why not?

More revolvers than anything else, but I do have an old Colt .25 auto (family heirloom inherited from an uncle), a Ruger MkIII Competition target model that I got a couple of years ago (nice, but capable of better accuracy than I can wring out of it), and a Walther PPK/S in .380 (theoretically nice, but I'm waiting for it to get back from the recall before I will have the chance to fire it for the first time.)

100% revolvers; Smith&Wesson double-actions, & Freedom Arms single-actions in .22/.357/.44
And a 1/2 dozen Marlin lever-action rifles, the perfect companion to the revolver. I feel pretty well covered, firearms wise. Use to own several 1911 style pistols, as well as several Sigs (a gun that's easy to shoot well), but just didn't enjoy shooting them like I do the revolvers. Also, I've yet to find an auto that can match the accuracy of a good revolver, though it may just be that I am better with a wheelgun. Different strokes and all that.

Same here. I have mostly S&Ws and Rugers for revolvers and for semis,Glock 17,19,and 26. Thats all folks. rz625-8

I am almost 100% revolver. Do have a Ruger Mark I 22 cal. and a collector Belgium Hi Power. The other 20 odd weapons all revolvers mostly Smiths

Carry and HD is SW J-K frames. I don,t like auto,s ,but have one G-23. Which sits in the safe 99% of the time. Don,t remember when I shot it last.

I'm 100% Smith & Wesson Revolvers, don't own any tupperware, or auto's. Auto's are for sissy's any way.

I sold my semi-auto's to buy my S&W revolvers (5 of them). But I have missed my Sig P226 so I am picking one up next week. It will be my only semi.

Since my last post I added A M66 2-1/2" and now carry it daily.
I now own 4 revolvers, all .357mag and 1 .22 semi-auto rifle along with a Browning Buckmark camper 5-1/2" barrel.22.
I am stocking up on .357mag,.38spl, and .22 ammo.
sure makes it simple to buy ammo if all I have to buy are 3 different types of ammo.

I currently own 5 bottom feeders, 1 Kimber 1911 in .22, 1 Caspian in .45, and 3 Glocks.

The other 5 guns are revolvers. I love revolvers and do see a different kind of beauty in them than one might see in Semi-Autos, however I look at my glocks as a tool, and nothing more. My wife is a great shot, but even with that being said while I am at work during the night I leave her with a Glock loaded with 34 rounds, and a Surefire light on it....why not tip the scales in her favor as much as possible? I have several friends that are always dogging my Glocks, but I suppose I have an appreciation for them that stems from a different view point. Yes, all of my Glocks are the lowest valued guns in my safe, but they are also the highest capacity, and most reliable of their kind. To me a Glock is nothing more than a tool to get the job done. Actually, I look at a lot of my carry revolvers the same way....some of mine are all beat up with scratches, dings, nicks....etc, but almost all of those imperfections can tell a story. For the most part the majority of my guns I would not hesitate to carry for protections, and if for some reason the gun became scratched or dinged in the course of protecting me or someone else, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it

I love my revolvers but there is just no substitute for a good 45, in my case a 220ST, a hi cap 9 (M&P) and a .22 auto.
I have ample examples of all

I really enjoy the revolvers, but still hang on to my SIG SAUER p.229.
