Has anyone turn their 15-22 pistol into a SBR?

Id love to spend a day with Jerry, watching him (and Noir's review) with the 15-22 was what finally twisted my arm into getting one....A world record holder he seems like a great teacher and an all round general good guy. Always seems like he's having such fun :D

He is defiantly an amazing man to watch with a gun. It would be nice to spend a day on the range with him.

Well that's just wonderful. (BUT) Only if your Sate allows you to have a SBR will it work. Not all States are the same. So If someone says you can or can't do something you need to check what the law is for your state Most people maybe trying to help but they don't know YOUR state laws.

He knows the laws and processes well. Been playing the game for decades.

Back on topic.

I had a 15-22 pistol I bought for $250 and rifle I bought for $400. I should have registered the pistol because the bolt is milled lighter from the factory and I would not had to lighten the hammer and spring of the rifle for my 4.5" barrel. This would have solved Redneck Jim's problem. BUT... I SBR'ed the rifle. I cut the stock off and added a modified VZ 58 stock.

I just made a steel plug for the hollow part of the receiver. I welded the stock to the plug and pined the plug to the receiver.
