Awhile back I posted about a Turkish made SAS that wouldn’t eject 3” 2 1/14 oz. shotshells. Also the forearm split. Contacted customer service and they recommend 3” shells over 2350 FPS. Works fine with those, and they sent me a new forearm. They have have very good customer service, I like it

Lets see, 2.25 ounces is about 975 grains and 2350 fps would put it in the 600 Nitro class. Out of a Turkish made semi auto Shotgun. Sounds like a hand grenade going off by my nose!

On the other hand, it holds together, it should really do a number on doves!

I think the company is Hatsan, not Hatfield. I have one in 20ga left hand. It has been a good gun. Legacy Arms.

A buddy of mine bought 2 Hatfield 20's, one for his son and one for himself. Starting out with light field loads, they were both problematic. Based on the advice of the dealer he bought them from, he oiled the bejeebers out of both and fired a box of high-brass 2 3/4 inch turkey loads through each of them. Since then, they have both worked flawlessly with all loads, including light target loads.

For about $200 each, they are darned nice guns.

Yup, tried to edit post. It’s 3” 1 1/4 oz over 1250 FPS. Kent and Federal 3” are both 7 /8 oz and like 1400 or 1300 FPS, bot bismuth or steel. Sorry
