PROWLING AT A GUN SHOP THIS P.M. I SAW A TOKAREV 12 GAUGE SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN IN THE RACK. THE PRICE WAS CHEAP ($247.00)
ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS MANUFACTURER ?

Friend of mine owns a gun shop. He has sold quite a few of them. No problems. Most shotguns sit in the corner and don’t get shot much anyway.

Turkey is producing well made guns at bargain prices. Another from Turkey is Tristar.

However, the Mossberg Maverick 88 might be better because of the availability of parts and accessories. Maybe $50-$60 more.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of it’s a copy of the 870.

Their guns are serviceable and usually work well. I understand customer service is good.

They aren’t fine guns. Wood to metal fit could be nicer, there are some sharp edges that can benefit from some studious use of a file.

I have one and only shot it once. It definitely needs a good shoulder pad if you shoot 12 gauge slugs. The butt end isn't adjustable. The gun cycled without failure, but I haven't shot it much. It's a heavy gun, for sure. It comes with a cheap sling but doesn't tell you how/where to put it on. There's some other thing that comes with it but I have no clue what it's for. The directions are pretty lame. The magazines are a bear to load, too.
Edit: There's no wood on the bull pup. I think it's made of lead!
