I love the model 29, especially the 6 1/2 inch barrel and 5 inch barrel ones. They are so well balanced, and have just the right profiles, a beautiful design! They shoot good too.
So I could get a M629. Got tired of being caught out in the woods and when rain would come up, I'd worry about my 29. So, just seemed to make sense.
No reason NOT to get a good .44.
It's un-American not to have one.
I purchased a new m29-10. 44 mag W/6 1/2" barrel in blue with blue case, wooden presentation case, all the papers for $699. My point I never wanted one nor was looking for one. But it was purchased new by the PO never shot. In the used handgun case for just $699 who'd pass that up?
I was browsing for a m27/m27-2 or m28/m28-2. I have three other Rugers in 44mag.
Ok every s&w gun owner should own a m29 in 44mag it's unspoken rule that should be a law that's strictly inforced. You better get one quick before the s&w inforcement police get there.
Sometimes we hit a fork in the road. We look for one model but another model shows up. Let the s&w gun gods guide you. I can hear them saying "use the plastic". Check your local pawn shop I think I see one..lol
There is a 29 for sale, Armslist, Toledo Oh. Price is $625. I would have reacted to it if it wasn't a 8&3/8 barrel. Have never shot any revolvers over 6". Don't know if they are for me. Bob
