I am in a quandry. I have bought 3 Smiths since Friday. I put in a bid on a 640-1 on gunbroker last week. I maxed my bid to $485. The gun is in LNIB condition. I won it last night for $466.00(really didn't think I would win at this price). I had a buddy that had a 4 inch 19-3 that was in really good shape that I bought for $475 on Friday. I thought it was a good deal. I have always wanted a 4" 19. I happened to walk into my local pawnshop on Saturday just to see if they would do a transfer on the 640 in case I won. They had a Model 65-7 Ladysmith (this shop never has any quailty Smiths) in the case. They asked $399 for it. I looked at it and was very celan. Had a box but not the original. They guy offered me $350 + tax. I couldn't turn that down even for a "locked" gun. So now I have 3 Smith's in 3 days. I can't keep all 3. I figure I could easly get my money back + some on the lady smith but I really like the gun. I am leaning to selling the 640-1 when I get in. I have an airweight 642 no lock. What should I sell?

Well of course you will keep the 19. Nuff said there. ;)

I'd keep the 640-1. Superb J-frame. The only J I own, or need.

I'd put that 65-7 Ladysmith in the classifieds here. You might make a little profit too. There are a few here who should snatch it up. Good luck with your decision! Regards 18DAI

If it was me, I would get rid of the 65 or the 640. Depending on why you bought them.

Keep them all. If the money is already spent you will not likely miss it 2 or 3 months from now but you will miss a nice gun. Nice purchases. Enjoy!

I'll echo what was said before:
Sell the 65 here on the forum. It's a highly sought after item.
The 19 should stay with you till your grandkids get it.
The 640 is a fantastic carry gun.
This was easy.

What is the 65-7 worth? It has the houge monogrip and is probably 98%. IT's the Ladysmith version.

Check gunbroker.

I dont know really what they are worth, I know a guy selling a 65-1 P&R for $450, which I didnt think was a great deal, so yours would definitely be worth less than that.

I would ditch the 65 is I absolutely had to. If I were you I would just keep them and tighten the belt for a month or two. You won't miss the money but you will probably miss the gun.

I can't disagree more with this statement.
The 65 ladysmith version routinely sells for a great premium over other 65s.
I sold one not long ago for $700. No box/papers, but factory grips.
