He is not dead, just really pissed off. I would not want to be the person selected to cut him loose!

I'll have to show that to my wife. I don't believe I'd risk cutting it out without killing it first.

You got the photohosting thing figured out real well!

Poor little feller deserves to live.

I’d figure out a way to cut him loose, be darned entertaining to boot.

A video of the cutting would have really been cool.
I have seen some things bailed up that is crazy.
Makes me wonder how and what kind of things get bailed that you never see or know about.
We ended up with mostly snakes.

Real simple...shoot the strings with an accurate rifle from 50 yards then get inside your truck...immediately.

If you had a game warden that you just really didn't care for now would be the time to call him for some help.

Where are those helpful folks from PETA when you really need their help?

I just came up with the perfect answer to this problem. Find an environmentalist, get him out of his tree, and tell him this poor defenseless animal needs his help. Stand way back and tell him you are going to take pictures of his good dead for Green Peace.

Simple.

Get in a pickup truck and drive as close to the other side of the bale as possible. Roll down the window and cut the requisite strings. Roll window back up ASAP. Drive away carefully so as not to run over him if he still wants to fight.

Used to have them at a zoo I worked at. Like wolverines, they were always mad at someone. Saw 'em dig through a concrete cage once.

Looks dead. No disturbed hay around the feet, badger fluids dripped from mouth, He would have had to go into the bale chamber and made several revolutions . I can't see him surviving that wrapping.

If it's not dead, you should shoot it. It's wounded at the very least and would probably not do well if let free. And it's not like you can check it to see how bad it's hurt. It's already dead, just a matter of how now.
