I noticed McGarrett wearing an unusual shoulder holster. It clipped to the belt but only went over one shoulder like a carry-on bag. An old early TV show called "US Marshal" had its main character wearing one like it.

Anyone know who made this kind of gunleather and how anyone could keep such a holster secure without coming off the shoulder?

I think a jacket might keep that one shoulder holster is place, but without a covering garment, I can't see anyway it would stay on with any movement.

Next time perhaps ask Mr. Google first? You'll get your answer faster . The search was 'jack lord shoulder holster' and the results say it is at The Smithsonian. It's simply a shoulder holster of the period with the offside strap removed and the uppermost sewing cut loose so the revolver can be holstered/drawn without interference.
