Fred is not a big deal for us here in Florida as far as wind. It could bring more unwanted rain. We have had plenty of rain and the NW coast is already flooded and the rivers are full.

Elsa was a nice drill. Always good to practice. Hopefully Fred will be the same.
Although one casualty of Fred is a previously considered (now canceled) trip to the Keys.

Yeah. And, just to keep this gun related, several storms have gone up near St. Marks Powder. A huge producer of gun powder. Got enough trouble now finding reloading powder. Don’t need there to be storm damage there.

Mobile Bay has been hit several times over the past few years. Something about the steering currents, I'd guess.

Looks like it has strayed a bit to the west, apparently keeping the west coast out of the actual path of the storm. Sadly, the west coast is on the "wet side" so rain, rain, and more rain.

But it could be a lot worse, huh?

Guess it’s getting to be that time of the year.

I think it is in the job description for weather forecasters to scare folks with their "dire" hurricane warnings. The have several courses in that at school.
