Thought some of you dedicated carnivores would appreciate this plate.

My cousin's family went to see her granddaughter marry an Irishman, in Ireland, this past weekend, and this is the artery clogging hotel breakfast.

My arteries are hardening just looking at it!

;)

A little heavier than I'd want for breakfast, even when I ate meat, but it does look good. I'd probably give it a try if I ever visited there.

Yummy! Especially with blood sausage!
Our neighbor in Switzerland had a small farm and made his own blood sausage once a year at slaughter time. We were honored that they would bring us some as a gift, but it made me gag. I think the texture stopped me from acquiring a taste for it.

Those "hardy" breakfasts were typical when
the menfolk worked hard in mines, iron mills,
and other energy consuming jobs.

Now, according to a report I heard a few years
ago, those same breakfasts have turned a lot
of Brit Isle folk into "hearty" disasters.

Besides, over here it's hold the beans and
lay on the hash browns smothered in onions.

Yes, a Full English Breakfast. Black Pudding (Blood Sausage) Fried Bread (toast) Baked Beans, a Raster of Bacon, English Bangers and marinated mushrooms. The English version will usually have a half of a baked tomato, while the Irish will leave that out. When you throw up, with the tomato, you might think you have some internal bleeding! The only thing I don't like is where I usually get this when I am in the U.K. they ACTUALLY FRY the eggs in an electric skillet full of oil, which they float the eggs in when cooking them.

For the British Version, you need a Pint of Bitters, but for the Irish Version, a glass of Redbreast 12 year old neat or a Pint of Guinness. For American's Orange Juice or a Mamosa.

Some add kippers, but I will pass on them.
