Heavy metal band Disturbed lead singer does Simon & Garfunkel like you've never heard

We bought the album just to get that one song. We are both S&G fans. The rest isn't anything I'm interested in listening to.

Very good. They don't write music like that anymore. I don't think they can. I still like the original better but this was very good.

While I do like heavy metal, I don't like the band Disturbed.
I even had a chance to see them at OzzFest once and I didn't bother to head to the stage.
That being said, I wanted to hate their version of this song. I wanted to hate it, but I just couldn't do it.

My wife brought it to my attention some time ago. If you want anger and attitude, the Disturbed cover is fine. Me...I'll stick with S&G. Guess that makes me Old School.
I'll go along with this, I'm a big time Volbeat fan! Seen them perform a couple times, going to see them this summer with Seether, my other favorite new band. Should be quite a show!

He/they gave it enough of their own treatment to almost make a new song out of it. The vocal styling is emotion charged, not quite like the ethereal sound of the original of S&G. Which makes it different enough to me not to have to say, "Well, they don't sound like Simon and Garfunkel".

The later versions had the electric accompaniment added by session musicians (The Wrecking Crew) without Simon knowing about it. The original acoustic version is haunting and makes you listen to the awesome lyrics Simon penned and the incredible harmony they produced.

they are good live, but...I can't tell one song from the last one. Their newest song played on satellite radio the other day. I thought it was one of their old ones.
