Felt nice. Smaller than the Shield Plus. I prefer hammer fired and metal, but single action only hold no allure to me. Maybe if it had a grip safety I’d be more comfortable. If they ever make a similar gun in TDA, I’m all in.

I handled one at my LGS the other day.
But that's probably because I carry my P365 every day.
I wasn't as impressed with the CSX as I was with the LCP Max.

Meh, matter of opinion I guess.
The length is the same and the width is only .05" more than the regular LCP II, but the grip is a half inch longer - if you compare it to the flat base magazine. Add the pinky rest to the LCP II and the difference is even less.
To me it seemed like a pretty darned compact package for packing 10+1 rounds.

I handled one for the first time today as well. Pretty nice feel but don't think it's a game changer for me. I would have to mess around with one a bit more.

I was enthusiastic when they first announced it, but now that I've seen one in person, not so much.
I really don't like the grip as part of the frame. No way to make any changes to it other than adding a sleeve or those rubber stickers. I'm disappointed... gotta pass on it.

According to handgun hero. the LC9S is significantly larger and heavier than the LCP Max. Nearly an inch longer in the slide section, .38" longer in the grip section and is 6.6 oz heavier. That's a big difference.

Kind of reminds me of a higher capacity Sig P938 or Kimber Micro 9. I have both of those, which one or the other are my primary CCW. Mostly my Kimber Micro 9. That said, I held a CSX at the LGS and it didn't tickle my fancy enough to want to purchase.
I'm just curious what you didn't like about the CSX?
Seems you enjoy SA pistols.
I'm not questioning your decision and am just looking to learn.

I bought one. I like the feel of the gun. It fits the same niche that the Kimber Micro 9 filled, except for a larger grip, and more rounds. I tried to like the Micro 9, but it was just too small for my hand. The CSX is a better fit. The stippling was a little too agressive, so I took an emery board and sort of knocked the sharp edges off. That feels better now, but I'll have to shoot it again to see if it really helped. Another option would be to swap out the grip panels.
A lot has been said about the trigger, especially the trigger reset. The trigger on mine breaks between 4.5 and 5.0 pounds. It's like there is a solid wall, then it breaks cleanly. The trigger reset: I have never noticed the "false reset" a lot of U-tube reviewers have mentioned, but I've never tried to "ride the reset," something I'd never heard of until recently.
It's a small gun, with a short site radius. At first I was sort of hitting all over the target with it, but I finally made myself settle down and make a real effort to align the sights and concentrate on the trigger, and things started to tighten up. No worse anyway that I shoot with most other small guns.
No malfunctions in 100 rounds or so, mixed reloads, FMJ and HP.
It's not going to be a carry gun for me, I don't think but I did find I had a Don Hume J.I.T. holster for the Kimber Micro 9 that seems to fit it quite well.

Well, I know what I have with either the Kimber Micro 9 or Sig P938. I can actually use kimber mags in the sig, if needed. Both are exceptionally accurate pocket 9s and fairly easy to work on.
That said, I have tried to talk myself into buying a 365 on a couple occasions, went to the LGS, handled one, and said "eh, I'll save my $500 for now". Kinda the same reaction when handling the CSX. That and my experience with M&P 9mms hasn't been stellar. The Shield 9mm is okay but won't hold a candle to my Shield 45s. My .3.6" M&P 9Cs (1.0 and 2.0) never met my expectations and on the first to sell list.

I’ll buy the first DAO.
I looked at the CSX a couple days ago really liked it it's a good carry size for me I am use to carrying a shield 1.0 just got a shield plus I'll wait for a D/A S/A model to come out I pocket carry my shield's quite a lot the CSX seems to me to be very close in size and weight. I am trying to hold off for now.

I have not bought a new gun in a good while because I have several 9mm striker fired carry guns and didn't need another one. When the CSX came out it was interesting to me because it was something different and I like guns with a hammer. So I need to find one so that I can see how it feels in my hand. If I like the feel I will buy one when the price drops down to a good street price. I have seen some for $599 and a few out of stock listed for $549

If they ever make one I will buy it immediately. I think the CSX is going to flop. Decent start to scratch the itch of the ever shrinking 1911 carry market and then it’s gonna flatline. Same thing happened with the Springfield XDE. The market for SA is far smaller than TDA.

Not a 9mm, but the SCCY CPX-3 has 10 round magazines and a LIFETIME 100% WARRANTY that applies to the gun, and co$ts half (or le$$?) as much...

I've got several of those Hume JIT holsters. They are a great holster for field use. I have one that I carry my 3" 629 in when I'm hunting and ATV riding. They also make a great 1911 thumb break holster. The thumb strap sits between the hammer and the frame when the gun is snapped in. I think it's called the Agent. It might be just the thing for carrying the CSX.

No offense to those of you who own or are looking to own a CSX. Since the Shield 2.0 and EZ are already out there, what box is S&W trying to check with this one? Seems like the answer to a question nobody asked.
There are people who complain about the striker action and polymer frames. A lot of these people are also quite vocal about how the 1911 is the best platform ever made, how great the SAO trigger is, and how they can't carry anything without a safety.
My guess is S&W thought there were a ton of these people out there just waiting to scoop up something with an aluminum frame and SAO trigger in the size of the current micronines. I can't come up with any other thinking that gets us here, but I lack some imagination. I'm hopeful it's a success and spurs more really weird choices, even if I don't love this one, I might truly enjoy another weird gun.
All that said, I'm fully expecting these to be out of production and on the CDNN closeout page shortly. Looking forward to an older Ian doing a forgotten weapons post on them in 20 years.

I don't know to tell you the truth. I just looked at it and liked it. I've never wondered about why? Or "what's it for." It's just another gun I wanted.

IF S&W ever did a real DAO like the 3914DAO, then I'd RUN, not walk, to the LGS and order one ASAP.
As it stands, another poster said the CSX will end up on the CDNN site soon.

Given the popularity of the SIG P series 238/938 and Kimber Micro series, interest in a higher capacity type would not be surprising. I suspect the CSX is an attempt to explore that niche. Hardened aluminum vs. polymer, tit for tat. Each has their place.
