Well, if SW doesn't come out with something better than the shield soon, its gonna end up in my safe. Flame me all you want but the P365 and Hellcat are finally what i have always wanted. Small hi-cap 9mm.. The shield is heavier and holds less rounds but they keep re-releasing the same old gun. Rant over.

anyone shoot the hellcat yet?

The Shield is my pocket gun, for when I can't carry a real gun. The P365 looks like a double stack the same size as the Shield. the Hellcat, if reliable, might beat them both.

Maybe now's the time to unload the Shield and go 365 or Cat?

Still, if you do have to shoot somebody, wouldn't you look better doing it with a "shield" than a "hellcat?"

I owned and carried a Shield from the time they came out UNTIL Sig introduced their P365. Smaller, more rounds, better trigger, and better sights. After working with the Sig for three months and a few thousand rounds, I bought a second one just because.
That said, the difficult loading of mags and more difficult racking of the slide were marginal for my wife. She, after working with one for an hour, just got a Shield EZ which I consider to be a really great alternative

I'm debating on a second P356 or a 43X...

I have 2 Shields, a Glock 43 and a Sig 365 and out of the three the 365 is the way to go. One Shield and the Glock have had work done by Bowie Tactical and the other Shield had some work done by Williams Gun Works and an APEX trigger. Had the work done before the 365 came out and love all three of them, but.........

The 365 is straight stock out of the box. It just feels better in the hand and points better for me.

Can't speak to the Hellcat.

I am intrigued by the new P365 SAS version where the sights are similar to the gutter snipe style sights on the ASP/Devel line.

But am right now on a self imposed no buy list.:)

I had a single stack shield 9 once, then I realized that I like double stacks better. The Glock 26 has served as my CCW with 10+1 rounds of HST. I see no need for a sub compact holding less rounds than what I already have.

I don't get all the hype about having the smallest carry gun with the most capacity. I can't comfortably shoot a shield. I never owned one, only handled it a few times over the years. I like a larger double stack compact size carry gun. Just because something is small and easily concealed doesn't make it better, IMO. A larger gun with more capacity and less recoil with a quality concealment holsters is what I want.

Got a shield when the rebates hit. My experience is it's too close to the G26 in size. The grip is longer and makes ankle carry not as concealable. Rented a sig 365 and shot it better than my shield the entire range session. Was considering the 365 for my next purchase but I guess I'll check out the hellcat first.

I carry my P365 with 12+1 rounds of 124+P Fed HST. The Hellcat is either 11+1 or 13+1 in the same size as the Glock. SIG P365 is 10+1 or 12+1 or even 15+1.

Funny how the Shield was the "cats meow" for concealed carry 9mm's just a few years ago. Now its a "has been"... People hem and haw about the price of gas, or milk at the store, but are willing to spend many hundreds of dollars because a gun is 1/2 inch shorter, or carries a couple more rounds more than what they have.

But, I am guilty as well - My new P365 is about to replace my Glock 26 as my primary carry gun. It is a fraction of an inch thinner....:)

If Ruger, or anyone, made a 12 rd 9mm the size of an LCP it would be mine, two of them. Small size, increased capacity = win win.

Love my Shield PC 40 and it will stay as my daily carry. If anyone is having a hard time concealing a shield, you are doing it wrong.

Remember too there is a trade off when you start getting too small. Short sight distance and shorter barrel equals less accuracy and an change of muzzle velocity i.e. performance.

And for those who are going to say these are up close and personel guns then you shouldn't need a billion rounds. Sure practice enough anything is possible.

Anywho, buy what makes you happy. Practice with it and have confidence in it is all that really matters but no need to put down one firearm vs the other as each have advantages and disadvantages.

I just picked up my 365sas today. Haven't had a change to shoot it but plan to get there within the next day or so. I've shot the 365 and liked it so I'm pretty stoked about the sas

I mostly carry a Shield. I don't have huge hands, but the Shield might be as small as I can go. It took me a while just to get decent shooting it. I haven't shot the p365 yet though. I'm more intrigued by the p365 XL. But as others have said, shootability should trump size and capacity where possible. I guess everyone is planning on being attacked by a gang of mauraders.
