Hello everyone. I just purchased my Smith and Wesson M&P 22 last weekend, and now its waiting Maryland background check purgatory. 50 days or so is the backlog. I wanted to get my order in now before the horrible control law goes into effect.
A little about myself. I'm a veteran on the Navy. I spent 6.5 years on active duty, another 2 on reserve duty, and now I'm just inactive. I shot a bunch in the beginning of my time in the service, but not so much until after I got out. I'm a computer systems engineer living in the not so gun friendly state of MD.
I bought my first rifle a few months ago, and then bought my M&P22 last week. It took a little while to convince my wife since we have young kids in the house, but when the boys get a bit older, I hope to slowly teach them gun safety.
I try to get to the range about once a week to keep up my marksmanship.
