Arkansas is a constitutional carry state. But me and my sweetie (wife of 30 years) recently decided to get our CHCL because it adds certain benefits and makes traffic stops a lot easier. Our parents often carried in the days before permits, and we sometimes carried (in our vehicles) in the rural area where we grew up. But since we moved to the suburbs in the early 1990s, we didn't feel that we needed to carry anymore. Plus, city police felt differently about it than the rural county deputies we grew up with. Sadly, the world has become more dangerous and it makes more sense to keep a "shootin' iron" nearby.
I have recently been acquiring some additional gear to make things easier and more practical for us. I've found this site very informative. S&W has always been my go-to brand for pistols, and I've picked up several over the years. I will likely be adding more to that. And I will have lots of questions about more modern guns and accessories.
