Hello from AZ

As a recent (last five years) convert to pistols after growing up with rifles, I have myself purchasing and shooting hammer-fired, steel classics (Colt 1911s, Browning Hi-Powers) as opposed to the polymer 9MMs. Inevitably, it has led me here as S&W L-Frame revolvers have caught my eye.

I am learning a lot just by lurking and reading. I'll be sure to post pics of the pre-lock, 4", 586 or 686 I'm destined to buy in the very near future.

Man after my own heart. I have polymer pistols, but I also have 3rd gen semi autos and revolvers, my pride and joy being my 686. I'd like to have at least one example of everything, If I could afford it. I've got steel and wood mil surps and bolt guns, lever, shotgun pump and semi auto, ARs and several carbines along with several revolvers. I even got a break barrel air rifle and tried it out for the first time today.

I know AZ. Lived there for 10 years in the 60's-70's. Mostly on the border but I've worked all over the state. Too hot for me these days but I sure do like it in the winters there. We spent our winters there about 10 years ago with an RV.
