Hello from Washington! This forum is great and i look forward to being part of it. I just made my first Smith and Wesson purchase the other day on the 686 ssr (actually a late birthday gift from my wife because she saw the look in my eye when i first put hands on this revolver)
Technically i own two Smiths but this is my first firing one. The other one i purchased a couple months ago was from an estate sale in a box of movie props and it was all messed up but it is marked on the top-Revolver,Lightweight, M13 and the barrel is marked .38 SPL. CTG* with a letter P in front of the trigger. The other side of the barrel is marked Smith & Wesson and has the Smith and Wesson logo and other markings and also has the mark on the back of the grip that says Property of U.S. Air Force. Other than that i look forward to adding more firing Smiths to my collection and chatting about them on here.
