Yes, "threatened" sums it up quite well.
Prediction: Gun control will not come about via strict legislation. What I believe will happen is a gradual increase of propaganda influence through the public schools and professional groups, eventually resulting in a "scientific consensus" to the effect that anyone expressing any interest in firearms or the shooting sports will be legally presumed to be mentally ill and in need of psychiatric care. Inclusion on "no fly lists" and denial of sensitive or responsible employment is likely to be automatic, and without meaningful appeal (think about it, just how will someone prove that he/she is not mentally ill when all the experts agree on that conclusion?).
That is exactly the path taken during the final decade or two of the Soviet Communist regime, when anyone who questioned party dogma or leadership was judged to be dangerously anti-social and in need of psychiatric care in a secure facility.
Such findings are likely to result from research funded by federal grants, and the research organizations (CDC, Public Health Service, major universities, etc) will be held up as independent experts, well beyond any challenge by the masses or the courts. Who can argue with accepted scientific research without being classified as deranged, dangerous, or psychotic?

Mixed bag. In TX you have lots of gun freedom, but workers, consumers, tort victims, police victims, medical malpractice victims, insurance company screwees, etc have few rights or remedies. Conservatism in action.

Personally I say get every revolver you think you might have a use for. My first revolver was a mod 19 357mag with a 6 inch barrel. it was given to me when I was 12 or 13 yrs old. I still have it and love it. With exception of 1 other revolver that has sentimental value I plan on holding it to the end. I even just bought a mod 10 38spl with the 4 inch heavy barrel. It shows the reliability of S&W revolvers. it looks like it was pounded to death it's whole life but shoots straight and true. Can't imagine life without a revolver and a dbl barrel shotgun.

I believe VA is now at the top of the list or will be soon. A law making it criminal to criticize the governor and general assembly has passed committee. As well as a law that prohibits any gun that can hold a magazine with more than 10 rounds or any weapon which could be threaded for a silencer.
