Hello and welcome from your neighbor in N. NM. My work takes me up to southwest CO every two weeks; such a beautiful state! I usually have a revolver with me but not concealed carry. Most often a 4 inch Model 624 these days which is a great but it's kind of big. I think if I were to carry all the time it would be a K frame 357. Get something that you like to shoot a lot so you'll get really familiar and good with it. I know that an important part of concealed carry is the holster and belt setup.
Others on this forum have had plenty of experience with concealed carry and I'm sure you will get sound advice.
Anyway, I'm glad you joined us. This forum is almost as much fun as . . . well, you'll see.

Welcome from Tennessee. M36 or M60 for pocket carry would get my vote for S&W or a Detective Special if you like Colt and a slightly higher round count. M19 or M13 for a belt gun .
