Hello all.
I am an active duty sub sailor (STS2) stationed in Groton, CT. 31 years young, married with 2 awesome kids.
I have been carrying on duty for the last 11 years and finally got around to being able to off-duty by getting my permit. With all the time waiting for my permit I had time to narrow down my choices for my first personal firearm. I wanted a Shield or a Springfield XD but decided on the M&P 9c because of its size, capacity, and price (got it for a steal in unused condition in the used case of the local shop).

I haven't had the chance to take it to the range yet but I have some FMJ American Eagles to send through it when I get there and Corbon for protective load. All I really would like is to get a couple/few more magazines and a more solid holster than the Uncle Mike's I bought with it. I'm saving my pennies for a custom Savoy or may just go inexpensive and get an Alien Gear.

That's about all I got. Should be enough for everyone to say hi back. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some extra 10 round mags now...and maybe some extensions? :D

Ah, my home state, that I will not return to. :( It's disappointing what is happening there. I considered applying for my non-resident CCW so I can at least have a little peace of mind when I am back home riding/driving/visiting. They've made it entirely too expensive and difficult.

I certainly understand where you're coming from.

Welcome from West Hartford, CT.

Let me know if you are interested in knowing some "Local" Gun stores. Make sure you check out the Cabelas in East Hartford, it is a great place.

Thanks Tom.
I usually go to The Outpost. Its close and reasonable. I tend to try and stay away from the big box stores like Dick's and Cabela's and try to shop local. Some day I'll make the teip up there though.
